CMD has traveled from San Diego to Boston, from Orlando to San Jose, with stops in Oklahoma City, Houston, Chicago and other dioceses to share our Connecting Catholic Families with the Bible workshop. Over 1300 people have participated in the series. As of August 1, we have done 33 workshops, and have another 18 scheduled for the fall and winter.
Here are some comments from participants at the workshops:
"You did a wonderful job teaching--the best catechetical session ever"
"Excellent examples of how we can incorporate the Bible into our lives"
"So many ideas on how to engage families with the Bible"
"Great resources and discussion"
"Variety of ways to reach out to multi-generational groups in a simple, non-threatening way"
"Awesome experience of learning and meeting with other parish ministers who are on the same path of plumbing the richness of the Word"
More workshops are available in the fall. Click here for more information.

Read about the good work of Young Neighbors participants from Summer 2010:
Cincinnati, Ohio site -- "My name is Matt Anselmi. As the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry at Church of the Holy Angels in Chagrin Falls, Ohio I have been able to enjoy the amazing programming that Young Neighbors in Action provides. A group of teenagers from our parish experienced a wonderfully organized service opportunity in Cincinnati, Ohio earlier this year. Thank you for providing such programs to open the eyes of our young people to those around them who are less privileged! The groundwork you provide and the way in which you weave service, prayer, and fun into the program make Young Neighbor's weeks a youth minister's dream!"
Worcester, Massachusetts site -- "Laying a new tile floor in our food pantry, hallway, and restroom was complex and difficult job. The quality of work accomplished by Dennis and the YNIA teams over the course of their three weeks here is amazing. With a new floor, our food pantry meets the health and safety standards required of us AND indicates the level of respect we have for the individuals and families who need our help to meet their basic nutritional needs."
